We’ve reviewed our advice and continue to advise, exercise a high degree of caution in Tanzania overall. We have lowered our advice for the Mtwara region but continue to advise, do not travel to within 30km of the border with Mozambique, in the Mtwara region. (see ‘Safety’). Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks anywhere in Tanzania. Be alert to your surroundings and pay close attention to your personal security.
