Gabon

There have been reports of a military takeover in Gabon. Protests and civil unrest are expected.  A nationwide curfew is in place from 7pm to 6am. Telecommunications may be disrupted. Gabon’s borders have closed, and flights have been cancelled until further notice. Stay indoors, avoid protests and government buildings and monitor local media for updates.

We advise:

Exercise a high degree of caution in Gabon overall due to the risk of violent crime.
