Lebanon

We’ve reviewed our travel advice for Lebanon. We continue to advise reconsider your need to travel due to the security environment. Higher levels apply.

There have been armed clashes in some areas of Lebanon, including Beirut. Protests occur regularly and can turn violent. The ongoing economic crisis and occasional industrial strikes have affected access to some goods and services, including banks. If you’re caught in civil unrest, stay inside and follow the advice of local authorities.

Terrorist attacks could occur anytime and anywhere, including in Beirut (see ‘Terrorism’).

We advise:

Reconsider your need to travel to Lebanon overall due to the changed security environment.

Higher levels apply in some areas.
