Ghana

There has been an increase in reported incidents of banditry involving passenger buses travelling in the Upper West and Upper East regions resulting in injuries and deaths. In July 2023, a passenger bus travelling from Kumasi to Bawku was attacked at a fuel station in Walewale resulting in several injuries. We continue to advise exercise a high degree of caution in Ghana. Higher levels apply in some areas.
